CyberFriar, MFA, & Course Registration

CyberFriar now uses the Microsoft 365 single sign-on that you use for most web services provided by the college, include your email. Because of the sensitive nature of the data contained within CyberFriar, the second factor of authentication that you use – either the Authenticator app or a text message or phone call – is required even on campus, while it is not required of any other service on campus.

It is recommended that you sign into CyberFriar on the device you intend to use for registering for your classes a day or two prior to registration to ensure that you are able to sign in.

If you used the Authenticator app and have since deleted the app, you may need to contact the Helpdesk in order to reconfigure the app before accessing CyberFriar.

The Helpdesk is available to assist anyone who is having trouble accessing CyberFriar. Please contact us well in advance of your registration day to ensure that any issues are resolved prior to registering. You can reach the Helpdesk using the following methods:

Submit a ticket
Email: helpdesk@providence.edu
Phone: 401-865-HELP (4357)
Visit: Phillips Memorial Library, room LL25

While the Helpdesk is open until 10 pm to assist with most issues, our ability to assist with sign-in issues after 8 pm is limited. Please contact us prior to 8 pm if you are having trouble accessing CyberFriar.
