PC Prints is the system that allows users to print to any of the “public” printers on campus from any device, including mobile devices. It works by sending your print job to the print server and holding it until you release it at any one of the printers. All of the printers on the PC Prints system can print in color and double-sided. PC Prints is also used to make copies at any of the printers.
Undergraduate students are provided with $40 in PC Prints funds each semester, which allows for between 500 and 800 pages printed. While most students will never use up that entire $40, those who do can print using PC Cash that they must add to their cards.
Returning students will need to reinstall the PC Prints printer as we have changed systems that run PC Prints. The new system adds additional features, such as the ability to print natively from iPads, iPhones, and Android phones and tablets, as well as the ability to request refunds for print jobs directly from the web.
One major change in PC Prints is that all print jobs will default to color. However, the new system allows you to choose “print in greyscale” at the printer when you release the print job.
