Careers in Psychology: William James College from 5-6pm

Join Beth Rogan, Director of Educational Partnerships, and Mandi Miller, Program Coordinator at the Center for Workforce Development, William James College, for an informative session on the many paths available in psychology and behavioral health.

This session offers an overview of the field and a discussion of opportunities such as the Behavioral Health Service Corps, a paid exploratory gap year program. You’ll learn about career pathways in psychology, counseling, and behavioral health, including school psychology, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and organizational psychology in business and nonprofit settings.

You will also learn the differences between clinical mental health counseling and social work, the main branches of psychology and behavioral health, and the training levels: bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, with their related licensure options. The program concludes with a look at field training, career settings, and specialties to help you choose the path that fits your goals.
