The Book That Changed My Life,
Dr. Vance Morgan on Marilynne Robinson’s Gilead Thursday, Oct 8 4:00pm | CCDS. Dr. Vance Morgan, Professor of Philosophy, will speak on Marilynne Robinson’s 2004 Pulitzer Prize winning novel Gilead which has been described as “a novel as big as a nation, as quiet as thought, and as moving as prayer.” Come share in thoughtful conversation on how this novel serves as a good reminder of what it means to quietly live a moral and noble life. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of Gilead and enjoy light refreshments. The conversation is designed to be small, informal, thoughtful and to bring students, faculty, and staff into dialogue together.
