The Providence College Ethics in Business Education Program is pleased to announce the return of the campus-wide PC Business Ethics Case Competition for 2024. This year’s case will focus on the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
2024 PC Business Ethics Case Competition
Registration Closes – Friday, October 4
Preliminary Round – Wednesday, October 23 (Ruane Center for the Humanities)
Final Round – Saturday, October 26 (Ryan Center for Business Studies)
Each team should have 3-4 members (a minimum of 3 members must be present) and a team captain who will be the primary point-of-contact for all competition-related communications. All PC classes and majors are welcome and encouraged to participate! Space is limited to the first 20 teams to register. It is strongly suggested, but not required, that each team have a faculty advisor. Please obtain your advisor’s approval before putting in an advisor’s name. This competition provides students with an opportunity to examine a current business issue, apply ethical decision-making skills and knowledge to the challenge, and recommend a course of action for the organization.
Benefits and Prizes:
Cash prizes split for the top three teams
– 1st Place Team: $2,400
– 2nd Place Team: $1,200
– 3rd Place Team: $600
– FLIP Points awarded to participants registered on the Suitable platform
– Winning team will represent PC at the Michael Smith Regional Ethics Case Competition in Spring 2025
– Gain valuable research and presentation practice, as well as have an experience to discuss during internship and job interviews
