Black Studies Forum Today at 6:30pm in Moore Hall 125

Over the past year, the increase in hate speech on campus has impacted Black students’ social, mental, and physical well-being in notable ways.  This environment is not conducive to Providence College’s belief in a Beloved Community, and we insist that members of the college stop living in what some students have described as a “bubble” of ignorance.  We all have a responsibility to embrace discomfort when people in our Beloved Community are demanding to be heard.

In response to these tensions on campus, the Black Studies Department is hosting a forum today at 6:30pm in Moore Hall 125 to highlight the voices that have gone unheard.  We invite you to bring your presence into this space and encourage you to invite your friends. Come and walk in our shoes.

The difficult conversations are the ones that are the most important to have.
