Applications for SPEEC Are Open Now!
SPEEC establishes an opportunity through which students can serve as informed ambassadors, peer educators, and representatives, working directly with the Office of Equity Compliance to foster spaces of community and understanding around prevention education. This team will help shape prevention and response efforts, ensuring they are relevant, effective, inclusive, and reflective of our Beloved Community.
As a member of SPEEC, you will:
• Collaborate with campus leaders to shape educational content and outreach strategies rooted in our values of justice, love, and truth
• Meet 1-2 times per month to work on projects, outreach and programming
• Develop leadership and facilitation skills in an equity-centered framework
• Engage with peers to promote awareness, inclusion and cultural responsiveness
• Act as a vital link between institutional policies and the lived experiences of students
• Receive training on Title VI/IX, prevention education and peer leadership
This is a unique opportunity to lead change, amplify student voices, and make a tangible impact on campus culture.
