Approaching its 15th anniversary, Horizons is one of our biggest student-led peer mentoring programs that empowers first-year students with tools that help them acclimate to campus while maintaining their identity and cultural values. Students will build relationships with peers, develop cultural agility and create a network of support. This is achieved through monthly social events, a weekend retreat and meetings with their upperclassmen mentor. We begin our programming with a fun overnight retreat Sept 27-28th, during which members will develop a sense of community, engage in various activities, and share their own personal experiences in their transition to Providence College. Beyond retreat, Horizons is a YEAR-LONG COMMITMENT. All members engage in monthly socials and mentees check in with their mentor monthly. Our coordinators, upperclassmen mentors, and I want to ensure that you have the resources and support while navigating campus.
Due to our retreat size capacity and number of mentors, students interested in joining Horizons must complete a short application to help us match you to a mentor, which is NOW LIVE! Link to Horizons Application DUE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th at 11:59pm.
