Dear rising Juniors and Seniors,
You are receiving this email to inform you about the upcoming Parking Lottery for the 2025-2026 academic year. This email is to inform you of the different types of permits and dates of the lottery. You will receive another notification closer to the start of the lottery that will detail the application process.
As you know, Providence College holds an annual parking lottery that is only open to juniors and seniors. For this upcoming academic year, we only have a certain number of destinated parking spots for juniors and seniors who live on-campus. Since this process happens once a year, it is important to note that we have three different parking options. Please review each parking option and apply for the one that you need.
1. Full-academic year permit: This permit is for BOTH the Fall and Spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. The cost is $200.00.
Do NOT apply for this permit if you only need one semester of parking.
2. Fall semester: This permit is only for the Fall semester. If you know you are going abroad in the Spring semester or do not need a car for the Spring, you will apply for this type of permit. The cost is $100.00.
3. Spring semester: This permit is only for the Spring semester. If you know you are going abroad in the Fall semester or do not need a car for the Fall, you will apply for this type of permit. The cost is $100.00.
Please only apply for the type of parking option that you need. Transferring your permit will NOT be permitted. This means that if you apply for a full year permit and only need it for the Fall, you cannot transfer your permit to a friend and will not receive a refund.
Once you have decided which type of parking option best suits your needs, you will (1) need to add your vehicle to your ARMS Parking Application (Safari not supported) profile and then (2) apply to the lottery using the form that will go live on May 6th, 2025. The lottery will be open from May 6th, 2025, to July 4th, 2025. The form will be sent along in Morning Mail and will also be available on the Transportation Website. If you are a lottery winner, you must add your vehicle to the ARMS Parking Application AND pay the permit fee in CashNet by August 1, 2025, otherwise your permit will be forfeited and provided to the next student in line.
Our office will NOT accept any applications after the July 4th, 2025, deadline.
The full academic year, Fall, and Spring permits will allow you to park in the following parking lots:
· Mal Brown/Cunningham Lot (Card Access Only)
· Annie Street/Schneider Lot (Card Access Only)
· Shanley Hall Lot (Card Access Only)
· Hunt-Cavanagh Lot
Again, this email is only to start you thinking about the lottery. We will send another email detailing the application process. It is important to know your schedule for the next academic year. If you are going abroad, you only need to apply for one of the semesters.
