{"id":13381,"date":"2025-11-18T10:02:48","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T15:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/friarwire.providence.edu\/morning-mail\/?p=13381"},"modified":"2025-11-18T10:02:48","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T15:02:48","slug":"study-abroad-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/friarwire.providence.edu\/morning-mail\/study-abroad-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"Study Abroad Applications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Center for Global Education reminds students in the Class of 2028 that study abroad applications are due by 11:59 pm on December 1.\u00a0 Applications have been open since late September.<br><br>Walk-in hours in the Center for Global Education (Feinstein 410) are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:30 if you have any remaining questions.<br><br>The most important thing to do right now is to ensure that your application is submitted on time.\u00a0 The Center for Global Education can assist you with program questions even after your application is submitted.\u00a0 If you\u2019re not 100% sure in which program you\u2019d like to participate, you can change your program of choice later on in the process.\u00a0 Submitting an application does not obligate you to study abroad, but we\u2019d still love for you to go.<br><br>The Providence\/Horizons application is pretty simple to complete and shouldn\u2019t take you very long to do.\u00a0 Most of the application is electronic with two forms\/documents to upload.\u00a0 Recommendations are only needed for PC in Rome and DIS Study Abroad, and these are done through the application system.\u00a0 Recommendations can be submitted by faculty after December 1, but the recommendations (total of 2) must be requested in the Horizons application system by December 1.<br><br>Good luck finishing your applications and Happy Thanksgiving!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Center for Global Education reminds students in the Class of 2028 that Study Abroad Applications are due by 11:59 pm on December 1.
