Windows 11 Coming Soon!

Out with the old, and in with the new! It’s time to say “goodbye” to Windows 10. The IT Department has started rolling out Windows 11 to all new computers for faculty and staff, as well as any re-deployments. We are also in the process of upgrading computer labs and classrooms to Windows 11.

For everyone else, if your computer is eligible to receive Windows 11, you will be prompted with a required update starting Monday, July 1. While you will have the option to defer this update, you will need to upgrade your computer to Windows 11 by August 1.

Any computer that has not received the prompt to upgrade to Windows 11 is not capable of running the new version of Windows. These computers will need to be retired by October 2025 as they will stop receiving critical security updates. We will be working with individual departments on replacing these computers over the next year.
