Single Sign-On Now in CyberFriar

Single sign-on (SSO) is now part of CyberFriar! As of Monday, March 13, you no longer sign into CyberFriar with your Banner ID and PIN. Instead, you will be greeted with the familiar Microsoft sign-in screen. If you are already authenticated to Microsoft, you will be directly signed into CyberFriar upon visiting the site.

This change also brings multi-factor authentication (MFA) to CyberFriar. While the campus network is currently exempt from MFA, all users, both on campus and off, will be subject to MFA when accessing CyberFriar. You will, however, still have the ability to remember a sign-in for 30 days.

Please ensure that your MFA methods are configured in such a way that you can access them on campus. For most users, this would mean ensuring that you have your cell phone or mobile device with you wherever you might access CyberFriar.

If you have trouble accessing CyberFriar, you should contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@providence.edu or 401-865-HELP (4357).
